I own two of these to allow my HTPCs to be controlled via a Harmony remote (using Harmony 1100s with RF extenders). I have the Harmony IR emitter attached to the included USB IR receiver (use a cover to keep it in place, search Amazon for IR emitter cover). The receiver plugs in to the HTPC and (at least in my two Win7 installations) is plug-and-play and allows your Harmony to control the Media Center interface on the PC. When programming the Harmony, I selected Hewlett Packard Media Center PC for my HTPC device... or you can just use the remote that comes with this package.
